Collection: Nokaji Yamago

Nokaji Yamago was founded in 1873 in the present-day city of Sanjo, Niigata Prefecture. Originally known as "Gorokichi," it started as a Nodate (outdoor blacksmithing) workshop, receiving various requests from farmers and performing various forging techniques (processing heated metal by applying force). Over time, they specialized in making hoes, inheriting techniques for generations over 150 years. In recent years, due to the nationwide decline in blacksmith artisans, they have started receiving requests from various regions across Japan and also undertake custom-made products to meet regional and individual needs. Additionally, it offers repair and restoration services for tools cherished by its users. The essence of a forge is to carefully craft each tool. The quality of the tool lies in its workability, and the aim is to create products that shine with excellence as they are used over time.
